In John 15 Jesus speaks to His disciples and said, as I obeyed my Father and remained in His love, so you must obey Me and you will remain in my love, and your joy will be complete. Now when we look at this scripture we will discover that the obedience of Christ to his Father’s word was key to remaining in the love of God.
And the way I understand this is that the Father’s word was the guidance, protection of God, if you love someone you would show them the way, teach and equip them for life and the challenges that would present itself along the way, so the Father educated Jesus, showed him how to do what he did, that was the glory that Jesus stood in, and what was so great about this is that Christ never kept it for Himself, but shared the glory he received from his Father, the same glory I received of the Father, that i give unto you, as I was equipped by the Father, so I will equip, educate you, and if you obey Me you will stay, live in My love, which is the teachings of Christ.
In 1 John 2 its written that whosoever keeps God’s word, in him truly is the love of God perfected. Paul writes in Ephesians 4 and says that we must speak the truth in love, so how does one speak the truth in love, Jesus said if you love Me obey My commandments, we are called to know truth before we speak it, to know means to have a intimate relationship with truth before we speak truth, that means our lifestyle must be truth, we must wear, put on Christ then speak Christ. In conclusion whatever we love we will be into, what are you into, or intimate with.
